The music world and by extension, the world on mass, lost a true genius and legend on April 21st 2016. It is not customary for the BJJF post obituaries, however this loss is on such a ‘major scale’ that it behoves us to acknowledge it. You may not think of Prince and Jazz in the atomsphere, but you could not tell that to the legendary man himself, Miles Davis. In his latter recording years, Prince Rogers Nelson fused Jazz within many of his released albums. In fact, even earlier. Under the name Madhouse in the late 80’s, Prince released two instrumental Jazz albums; Madhouse 8 and Madbouse 16.

Here is a recently uploaded video of Miles Davis performing with Prince shortly before his own untimley passing on September 28, 1991.

Rest in peace Prince, the Jazz world will always remember.
